Drug Evaluation and Classification
Lawrenceburg, IN

The Lawrenceburg Drug Evaluation and Classification course was held in Dearborn County March 10^th through the 20^th.  The course began with twenty-three officers.  The course was trimmed to twenty officers due to manpower and other issues.  We were thrown out of the classroom we were in to accommodate a campaign stop by Bill Clinton, yet the officers involved in the course continued to concentrate on the material and successfully completed the course. 

Two alcohol workshops were held with good results from the training.  The students throughout the course asked several solid questions.  The instructors commented a number of times about how ‘into the course’ everyone seemed to be.  This was also proven out when the final test was passed so well by several of the officers. 

Evaluation training begins in different sites across the state.  Rob Duckworth will be handling scheduling in the southeast, Sue Reidenbach is handling Indianapolis beginning April 4th, and the Ohio officers have their own instructors trained here in Indiana.
